A few days ago we did a post on the Harajuku Lovers line. This is Gwen Stefani’s line of apparel, fashion accessories, and stationary depicting her and her Japanese back-up dancers. It was mentioned in the post that there was a line of fragrances out, but we had not had the chance of trying them. That has changed today with a suprise sampler of each of the frangrances arriving in the mail. Since we wanted this to be a hot off the press post we decided to do a review of the fragrances and enlisted the staff members as fragrance models. We are providing links with each fragrance so that you may buy these individualy and one link for a perfume coffret which has small bottles of each fragrance for you to try without purchasing each one seperately.

Our Review For the market these fragrances are geared for, the teen girl and early 20’s woman they will be a hit. If you are going somewhere a little, how shall we say it, grown up these fragrances will not fit in. They are cute like described and fit very well into the young club scene and in high school and college classrooms. We believe that each fragrance embodies a unique scent, personality, and style, as the sampler describes, and not every scent will work with every girl. Our favorite was a tie between the Love and Music scents with the Love probably winning out due to Music smelling a little too much like candy. A close third would be the Baby scent which reminds us of a fresh, clean just out of the shower smell. The G scent smells like coconut and not much more, kind of like suntan oil. Lil’ Angel comes in last because we just can’t figure out what it smells like, not unpleasant, just hard to tie down what it should be. Overall, we recommend these fragrances but suggest the first purchase be the sampler to determine which scent matches you.
